Seán Mc Manamon (B.Eng, MCIArb)

Seán has been involved in the construction of plants in the Energy Infrastructure Sector since 1991, working with EPC contractors and clients in various capacities to ensure a successful outcome to project construction issues. 

He is an experienced Expert Witness in International Arbitration taking part in joint expert meetings, hot-tubbing of experts and cross-examination. He as participated as a member of dispute boards  and statutory adjudication.

Experience includes construction projects in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Seán holds a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering Degree and a and a Masters Degree in  Construction Law and Arbitration. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and a Fellow of the Asian Institute of ADR, a listed Representative Neutral with the India based MCN, a professional level member with the Dispute Board Federation (PDBF) and a member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).

Seán speaks both English and Spanish.

Ignacio is a qualified lawyer, registered to practice in Spain and co-author of the first book published in Spanish on FIDIC contracts (Los contratos internacionales de construcción. FIDIC). 

He has international experience working on construction contract issues, in particular with FIDIC contracts in Asia and Latin America 

With the United Nations he has worked in the fields of Legal, Procurement and Programme & Logistics in projects involving UNOPS, UNDP, UNHCR, DPKO and UNMAS. He has also worked on projects funded by USAID, AUSAID, JICA

Ignacio participates in international conferences on construction contract law as well a lecturing on contract law in Spain. 

He speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.

   

Derek has been involved in the Power Generation sector since 1967 where he started in the Steam Turbine manufacturing facility of Alstom Power (formerly GEC) in the UK.

His experience has involved him in both the manufacturing of Power Generation machinery as well as the Construction and Maintenance of Powerplants worldwide. He is experienced on the installation and maintenance of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators and HRSGs having spent over thirty years working as both a project engineer and a site manager before assuming multi project management responsibility.

As well as Site Management and Technical roles within the industry, Derek is highly experienced in trouble-shooting all aspects of plant installation and maintenance issues.

Derek holds a City & Guilds of London Institute qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
